Production Operative - Moulding

We're working with a leading marine manufacturer that is looking to add a Moulding Operative to its production team. This is a hands-on role supporting the manufacture of high-quality composite boats, with a focus on producing and preparing moulded components to meet production schedules and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the assembly, finishing and inspection of moulded composite parts.
- Prepare mouldings for the next stages of production.
- Support the bonding and assembly of composite boat structures.
- Carry out cutting, grinding and flow coating to achieve a high-quality finish.
- Build sub-assemblies as required.
- Support other areas of the manufacturing process when needed.
- Assist in the training and development of new production operatives where appropriate.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Work in accordance with all health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Undertake any additional duties required to support the production team.
Ideally, you'll have:
- At least 2 years' experience in a composite, manufacturing or engineering environment, or an Engineering BTEC qualification with relevant industry experience.
- Experience using workshop hand and power tools.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high workmanship standards.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- A positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and adapt to changing production demands.
