Production Operative

Location: Norwich
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
Contract: Ongoing temporary work 

Are you looking for a Monday-to-Friday role with no weekend work? Our client is a busy food manufacturing business in Norwich and is looking for reliable Production Operatives to join their chocolate production team.

As a Production Operative, you will play an important part in the production and packing of products. Your duties will include:

• Working on a production line, including standing at a conveyor belt for extended periods
• Placing chocolate blocks onto the production line ready for wrapping
• Wrapping chocolate products to company standards
• Packing wrapped chocolate products into boxes, typically weighing 300–400g
• Keeping your workstation clean, tidy and organised
• Following all food hygiene, health and safety procedures
• Reporting any production or quality issues to your supervisor
• Supporting with stock rotation and inventory checks when required

We're looking for candidates who are:

• Reliable and punctual
• Comfortable working on their feet for extended periods
• Able to work at a steady pace on a production line
• Comfortable handling food products
• Able to follow instructions and strict hygiene procedures
• A good team player with a positive attitude
• Previous food manufacturing or production experience is beneficial, but relevant transferable experience will also be considered
