Production Operative

SMS – Smart Manufacturing Solutions are currently recruiting Production Operatives to join one of our established clients based in Consett, supporting 24-hour operations within the Automotive Industry.

We are looking for process-driven, reliable individuals who can work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

As a Production Operative, your duties may include (but are not limited to):

• Working in accordance with health & safety regulations and standard operating procedures
• Operating manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently
• Quality checking, inspecting, and labelling finished products
• Maintaining good housekeeping standards
• Working within strict policies and procedures to meet customer requirements
• Ensuring all products consistently meet client quality standards and specifications
• Supporting and encouraging continuous improvement
• Accurately recording production data using internal applications to support effective reporting

• Able to follow processes with excellent attention to detail
• A good communicator and team player
• Proactive and self-motivated

Shift Patterns

• Day Shift: 6:00am – 6:00pm, Monday to Wednesday
• Night Shift: 6:00pm – 6:00am, Monday to Thursday morning
