Production Operative – FMCG (Bottled & Canned Drinks)

Location: Pontefract

Pay rate: £13.20 + 10% shift allowance (£14.52 per hour)

Overtime rate: £21.67 per hour

Shifts: 7:00am–7:00pm / 7:00pm–7:00am

Shift pattern: 3 days on / 3 days off / 3 nights on / 3 days off

About the role

We’re looking for reliable Production Machine Operatives to join a fast-paced FMCG environment, working on the production of bottled and canned drinks. This is a great opportunity for people looking for ongoing work with a consistent shift pattern, regular days off and weekly pay.

Shift pattern explained

You’ll work a rotating shift pattern designed to give you regular time off.

3 days on – 7:00am to 7:00pm

3 days off

3 nights on – 7:00pm to 7:00am

3 days off

The pattern then repeats, giving you regular time off throughout the month.

Key responsibilities

• Operating and monitoring production machinery.
• Ensuring the smooth running of bottling and canning lines.
• Carrying out basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting.
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.
• Conducting quality checks on finished products.
• Packing and labelling products where required.
• Reporting faults or issues to supervisors.
• Working as part of a team to meet production targets.

About the site

• This is a non-smoking and non-vaping site. Smoking or vaping is not permitted at any time, including during breaks.
• This is an allergen-free site and no allergens are permitted on-site.
• The working environment can be warm, so you must be comfortable working in these conditions.
• Strict hygiene rules apply, including no jewellery, false nails or false eyelashes.
• You must wear safety shoes and a hi-vis vest. Additional PPE will be provided on-site.

What we’re looking for

• We’re looking for people who are reliable, hardworking and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Previous production or manufacturing experience is beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided.
