Production Operative - Melton
Ready to join a team where your work genuinely matters? If you’re hands-on, take pride in getting things right, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re looking for Production Operatives in Melton to support our day-to-day production activities. This is a role for people who are comfortable working on the shop floor, following processes carefully, and working as part of a team to deliver high-quality output—on time, every time.
Why this job is worth it
- Your effort is visible: you’ll help create products that reach customers across the globe.
- Consistency is celebrated: we value attention to detail, reliability, and continuous improvement.
- A team that supports you: you’ll work alongside experienced colleagues who take quality seriously.
- Opportunity to grow: there’s potential to develop your skills and progress within production.
About the role
As a Production Operative, you’ll be responsible for carrying out a range of production tasks in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs). No two days are identical, but you can expect your shift to involve a combination of:
- Working safely and following all health and safety requirements and site procedures
- Operating production equipment and/or working alongside equipment under guidance
- Carrying out quality checks at appropriate stages to ensure outputs meet required standards
- Monitoring material usage and reporting shortages, defects, or production issues
- Carrying out basic assembly/packing tasks as required
- Maintaining a clean, organised work area in line with 5S/housekeeping expectations
- Documenting relevant batch/production information accurately
- Working to production targets and supporting the wider team to maintain smooth flow
What we’re looking for
You don’t need to have done this exact role before—what matters is your attitude and approach. We’re looking for someone who:
- Enjoys practical work and has the stamina for active, hands-on shifts
- Is reliable, punctual and ready to work to scheduled patterns
- Takes pride in producing work to a high standard
- Can follow instructions carefully and consistently
- Works well with others and communicates clearly on the shop floor
- Is comfortable standing for long periods and handling materials where required
- Has a strong commitment to safety and good working practices
Useful experience (not essential)
If you have experience in any of the following areas, it could be helpful—but even without it, you’re still encouraged to apply:
- Production, manufacturing, warehousing, or logistics
- Assembly, picking/packing, or quality checking
- Working to targets, batch records, or process documentation
- Using basic manufacturing equipment or tools
- Experience in a fast-paced environment where teamwork is key
What your shift could look like
You’ll work as part of a production team responsible for meeting daily output requirements. Expect a balance of performing tasks, checking quality, maintaining workflow, and communicating with supervisors or team leads where adjustments are needed. You’ll be supported with training and clear procedures—so you know what “good” looks like.
Culture and values you’ll feel on day one
We’re building a workplace where people are respected, quality is non-negotiable, and improvements are always welcome. You’ll join a team that cares about getting it right, helping each other, and maintaining high standards—without losing the friendly, can-do spirit that keeps production moving.
