£ 13.45 PER HOUR
Our client is a large manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Huddersfield, Bradley, and due to continued growth and expansion, they require a well versed production operator to work permanent days.
Key Responsibilities
Ensuring compliance with the Company Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability Policies, reporting any potentially dangerous issues/faults to your direct Team Leader or Production Manager including but not limited to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
To ensure quality products are produced in the required quantity, on time, and at the lowest possible cost, in a manner in keeping with the Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures of the company.
You will work as a team to ensure departmental targets, company targets and customer deadlines are achieved.
Your role will involve, but won't be limited to ......
- Degreasing of hoses
- Testing of hose
- Reeling up of hose
- Operate a plastic extruder
- Adhere to correct procedures
- Ensure that all documentation is completed at the correct time
- Adhere to safe working practices at all times.
- To perform the necessary safety checks to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of the department and to operate in a manner conversant with the training given
- Ensure adherence to 5S in the department
- Transfer to other areas of the department/business as and when requested
- Ensure that the department’s machines are kept in good working condition. Report any major maintenance issues immediately
- The Extrusion of PVC, Polyurethane and other materials.
- Work is mainly manual handling, some of which is heavy.
Skills/Experience:
- Ability to learn quickly
- Quality orientated
- Good level of numeracy and general education
- Ability to work well as part of team and communicate with other workers
- Ability and willingness to perform manual work
- Previous experience within mechanical engineering, extrusion, injection moulding, and an understanding of pressure and flow would be an advantage.
- Technical Ability
You'll work the following hours.....
Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm
Friday 8am to 1.45pm - early finish on Friday's
