Production Operators

Location: Port Clarence, Middlesbrough, TS2 1SF
Pay Rate: £14.24 per hour + Overtime paid at £21.36 per hour

Weekly rotating shifts:

• Days: 6:00am - 2:30pm
• Backs: 2:00pm - 10:30pm
• Nights: 10:00pm - 6:30am

Please note: Due to the site location and shift start/finish times, candidates must have their own reliable transport and be able to travel to site for all shifts.

We are recruiting Plant Operatives to join our client based at Port Clarence, Middlesbrough.

Working within a safety-critical production environment, you will be responsible for the inspection, handling, filling and movement of gas cylinders while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and operational performance.

This is an ongoing opportunity with full training provided; however, applicants with previous manufacturing, process, industrial or COMAH experience are particularly encouraged to apply.

• Quality inspect and refurbish gas cylinders, identifying defects and ensuring compliance with operational standards.
• Fill cylinders with pressurised gas in accordance with site procedures.
• Safely load and unload cylinders onto pallets, cages and vehicles.
• Carry out cylinder maintenance and inspection activities as required.
• Meet production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Follow all site procedures, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Report hazards, near misses and incidents promptly.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards within the production area.
• Wear and maintain all required PPE.
• Support cylinder requalification activities where required.

Essential:

• Previous experience within a production, manufacturing, processing, industrial or operational environment.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and following procedures.
• Ability to work rotating day, back and night shifts.
• Good attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to carry out manual handling activities safely.
• Reliable transport and ability to travel to site for all shift patterns.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Highly Desirable:

• Experience working on a COMAH-regulated site.
• Experience within gas, chemical, petrochemical, process manufacturing or other safety-critical environments.
• Experience working to permit systems, operational procedures or strict safety standards.
• FLT experience or licence.
• Experience handling pressurised systems, cylinders or hazardous materials.

This role involves manual handling and working within a busy industrial production environment. Successful candidates will be required to complete a DBS check prior to placement.
