Production Planner

PRODUCTION PLANNER required - 1 x Burghfield, Reading, Berkshire and 1 x Aldermaston in Berkshire (approx 6 miles between both sites) 
Rate of pay will be discussed on application. 

This role is in scope of IR35

This is a contract with immediate start subject to the required checks and is until Dec 27 

Working hours approx 08.00-16.00 (subject to change) 

Job Purpose:
Provide Production Planning services, encompassing Manufacturing and Science demand across Operational Delivery Units.

Key Responsibilities:

To detail plan methods of manufacture in response to tasking requirements with full regard to time, cost and quality.
Ensure local MRP system is kept up to date
Be able to demonstrate and use ‘Lean Planning’ techniques and ‘Production Control’ processes such as visual management, Kanban and Push/Pull in the operational/ manufacturing areas.
Proactively tackles blocks and barriers to progress.
Support the creation and maintenance of Basis of Estimate with Production costs and schedules.
Ensure all planned requirements are in line with  the Master Production Schedule/Supplementary Schedule and loaded into the local MRP system (where used).

Be able to work effectively with others and build required relationships to support delivery of the Programme.
