Production Planner

Salary: £30,000-£38,000

We are seeking an organised and proactive Production Planner to join our client's manufacturing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with production planning experience who enjoys coordinating manufacturing schedules, managing priorities and ensuring customer orders are delivered on time.

• Create and maintain daily and weekly production plans
• Coordinate workflow across SMT, Assembly and Test departments
• Balance production workloads against capacity, priorities and customer delivery requirements
• Monitor production progress, work in progress (WIP) and schedule adherence
• Identify bottlenecks, delays and delivery risks, supporting recovery plans where required
• Liaise with Production, Quality, Engineering and Test teams to ensure efficient workflow
• Track and report production KPIs to support planning and performance
• Ensure materials and resources are aligned with production schedules
• Maintain accurate production planning data and schedules
• Support improvements to production planning processes and operational efficiency
• Maintain a structured and organised approach to production planning

• Previous experience in a Production Planner, Production Scheduler or similar planning role
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritise workloads and adapt to changing production demands
• Experience analysing production data and using KPIs to support planning decisions
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Good problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach
• Experience working closely with Production, Quality, Engineering and Operations teams
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel would be advantageous
• Experience within a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment is desirable
