Production Shift Manager

Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be supporting a leading UK manufacturer who, due to internal progression are now looking for a Production Shift Manager to join their facility in West Yorkshire. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established, globally recognised brand, leading a strong team and taking ownership of your shift.

Working Hours: Continental shift pattern – 4 on, 4 off

Salary: £45,000

Key Responsibilities of the Production Shift Manager include:

• Lead an experienced team in a busy manufacturing environment
• Drive productivity, deliver KPI’s and ensure production targets are achieved, to high quality standards
• Promote a strong health & safety culture, ensuring operatives are held accountable and challenging when necessary
• Lead continuous improvement activities, driving lean manufacturing tools to improve processes
• Develop & coach your team, identifying training needs, performance management and succession planning
• Work alongside all other Shift Managers, Maintenance and Quality teams

Requirements for the Production Shift Manager:

• Proven experience in a production leadership role within manufacturing
• Strong communication skills and able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• A methodical and proactive approach to planning and problem-solving
• Proven examples of driving and utilising lean methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills, using root cause analysis

This role would suit candidates who have previously held roles such as Production Team Leader, Shift Manager, Production Supervisor or Production Manager
