About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to join our client. Reporting to the Operations Lead Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with experience in food production who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving performance, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop production operatives to achieve performance targets.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, health & safety, and quality standards.
  • Monitor production output and efficiency, taking corrective action where required.
  • Conduct team briefings, shift handovers, and performance reviews.
  • Support training and onboarding of new team members.
  • Investigate production issues, ensuring equipment is in working order.
  • Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure accurate completion of production documentation and records.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and increase productivity.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory experience within food manufacturing, food processing, or FMCG environments.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and manage a team
  • Good understanding of HACCP food safety regulations.
  • Strong people management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
  • Experience using production reporting systems and KPIs.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Flexible approach to shift patterns if required.
  • HACCP level 3
