Production Team Leader

Location: Wolverhampton
Salary: £35,000 per annum

M-Tec Engineering Solutions are currently recruiting for a Production Team Leader to join an established and growing subcontract manufacturing business based in Wolverhampton.

This is a genuine opportunity to make your mark.

You could be an experienced Production Supervisor or Team Leader looking for a new challenge. Alternatively, you may be a highly capable Senior Operator, Chargehand or experienced manufacturing professional who is ready to take that next step into their first management role.

Either way, you’ll be joining a business where your leadership, organisation and practical manufacturing experience will have a direct impact.

The Role

You’ll lead from the front, helping to ensure the team delivers the right work, to the right quality, at the right time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supporting a small production team
• Organising daily workloads and prioritising production requirements
• Overseeing work across presswork, assembly and welding
• Ensuring customer orders are delivered on time and to specification
• Monitoring quality, output and productivity
• Supporting team members with training, development and day-to-day guidance
• Working closely with planning, quality and other departments
• Helping resolve production issues and keep work flowing
• Driving good standards of housekeeping, health and safety and continuous improvement

About You

The key requirement is experience within a subcontract manufacturing environment.

You’ll understand that priorities can change, customer requirements matter and the ability to keep production moving is critical.

You may already be working as a:

• Production Team Leader
• Production Supervisor
• Chargehand
• Senior Manufacturing Operator
• Skilled Presswork, Assembly or Welding professional ready to step up

You don’t need to have held a formal management title before. What matters is that you have the technical understanding, confidence and people skills to lead a small team and take ownership of production performance.
