Production Team Leader

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Production Team Leader to join a busy and growing manufacturing environment in Brandon.

Working closely with the Production Supervisor, you will lead and support a small team of Production Operators, ensuring the production line runs safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

This is a hands-on role where you will be involved in operating machinery, carrying out changeovers, monitoring production performance and supporting your team to achieve daily targets.

We are looking for someone who is confident working with machinery, has a proactive approach and enjoys taking responsibility within a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate production machinery and carry out regular changeovers as required.

  • Lead, organise and support a small team of Production Operators.

  • Ensure daily production targets for quality, output and efficiency are achieved.

  • Monitor line performance and report any issues or concerns to the Production Supervisor.

  • Ensure all production activities are carried out in line with Health & Safety and GMP standards.

  • Complete shift handovers and maintain accurate production records, including downtime, output, changeovers and quality checks.

  • Train, support and develop new team members to help build a skilled and flexible workforce.

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support improvements to production processes.

  • Act as the main point of contact for the team during the shift.

  • Provide support to the Production Supervisor as required.

Working Hours


Night shift: Monday to Thursday, 18:00–06:00

Multiple shift options are available depending on business requirements.

Salary


Night shift: £14.00 per hour
Weekend Shifts: £14.00 per hour

What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in a production, manufacturing or machine operator role.

  • Previous experience of leading or supporting a team would be highly beneficial.

  • Confident operating production machinery and carrying out changeovers.

  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic equipment or production issues.

  • Good understanding of Health & Safety and GMP requirements.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

  • Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.

  • A hands-on leadership style with a positive and supportive attitude.

  • Ability to take ownership and help drive performance on shift.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
