Job Summary
A leading manufacturer in Thetford is seeking a reliable and motivated Production Technician to join its production team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the efficient manufacture, assembly, inspection, and packaging of products while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery and equipment in accordance with company procedures.
- Assemble, prepare, inspect, and package products to required quality standards.
- Monitor production processes and identify any issues affecting quality or efficiency.
- Complete production documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure materials and components are available to support production schedules.
- Assist with machine set-ups, changeovers, and routine equipment checks.
- Carry out cleaning duties and maintain a safe and organised work area.
- Work closely with production, quality, engineering, and warehouse teams to achieve production targets.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, company policies, and GMP procedures where applicable.
- Report equipment faults, quality concerns, shortages, or production delays promptly.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is desirable.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices within a production setting.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and handling materials safely.
- Basic computer skills for production recording and tracking purposes.
- Flexible and willing to work rotating shifts.
