Job Description

Rooted Recruitment Limited is recruiting on behalf of an established, specialist engineering and scientific instrumentation business in Wrexham. Following significant investment and continued expansion, our client is looking for a Production Technician who will receive extensive product training before progressing into an Installation & Service Technician position.

• Spend your initial three months learning to build, test and understand sophisticated scientific instrumentation at the company's Wrexham facility.

• Progress into an Installation & Service Technician role, supporting the installation and servicing of equipment at customer sites while retaining some production responsibilities.

• Work hands-on with highly technical products, developing an in-depth understanding of the equipment, its operation and associated engineering principles.

• Undertake approximately 30–40% travel as the role develops, including international travel for customer installations and servicing.

Compensation & Benefits

• Up to £35,000 basic salary, depending on qualifications and relevant experience.

• Company bonus scheme in addition to basic salary, historically averaging approximately £4,000 per year.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience building, assembling or working with technical or engineering products.

• A degree in engineering, physical science or a related discipline, or significant relevant practical experience.

• Strong hands-on technical aptitude with the ability to learn and develop detailed knowledge of sophisticated scientific equipment.

• Willingness and ability to undertake regular international travel, with candidates required to already have the right to work in the UK.
