Shift: Rotational 12-hour shifts, 8:00am – 8:00pm
We are currently recruiting for a Production & Warehouse Operative to join a busy manufacturing facility in Flitwick, producing plastic packaging lids for a range of well-known customers.
This is a clean and well-organised working environment, and we are particularly interested in candidates with previous production, manufacturing or warehouse experience, especially those who have worked on a production line.
The Role
As a Production & Warehouse Operative, you will play an important role in keeping the production lines running efficiently. You will be responsible for handling materials, supporting production and ensuring finished products are correctly packed, labelled and recorded.
Your duties will include:
- Ensuring blenders and silos are kept filled with the required materials
- Correctly issuing raw materials to production lines
- Checking and preparing bulk bins and pallets
- Making up cartons and boxes for finished goods
- Ensuring finished products are correctly packed and labelled
- Scanning and booking finished packs into stock
- Using scanning software to maintain accurate stock traceability
- Cleaning machines and material-handling equipment before product changeovers
- Carrying out colour changes when required
- Responding to and dealing with minor machine or assembly equipment faults
- Carrying out routine machine maintenance and cleaning
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and tidiness across the factory, blender and yard areas
- Assisting with general production line operations when required
- Following all health, safety and quality procedures
- Completing any other reasonable duties required within the role
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience within a production, manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Production line experience is highly desirable
- Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
- The ability to follow processes and instructions accurately
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety
- Experience using scanners or stock systems would be advantageous
- A reliable and hardworking attitude
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A willingness to work a 12-hour rotational shift pattern
Shift Pattern
This is a rotational 12-hour shift pattern:
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday – 8:00am to 8:00pm
Week 2: Wednesday & Thursday – 8:00am to 8:00pm
You will then rotate between the two-week pattern.
