Working closely with the Programme Director and Executive team, you will oversee the successful delivery of a complex digital transformation programme that will have a significant impact on clinical services, operational efficiency and patient outcomes across the organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced NHS EPR professional who can operate at both strategic and operational levels and is comfortable deputising for the Programme Director when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of key workstreams within a large-scale EPR programme.
  • Manage programme plans, risks, issues, dependencies and governance.
  • Coordinate clinical, operational, digital and supplier stakeholders.
  • Support executive reporting and Programme Board activities.
  • Drive programme assurance, readiness and go-live planning.
  • Ensure delivery remains aligned to programme objectives, benefits and timescales.
  • Deputise for the Programme Director when required, representing the programme across senior stakeholder forums.

Essential Experience

  • Significant Programme Management experience within the NHS.
  • Previous EPR implementation experience within a large NHS Acute Trust.
  • Proven track record delivering complex digital transformation programmes.
  • Experience working closely with Executive Directors and senior clinical stakeholders.
  • Strong governance, RAID and programme controls experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience of Nervecentre, Epic, Cerner, Lorenzo, Oracle Health or similar EPR platforms.
  • Full lifecycle EPR implementation and go-live experience.
  • Experience within teaching hospitals or large multi-site acute organisations.
  • MSP, PRINCE2 or equivalent programme management qualifications.

The Person

You will be a credible and influential Programme Manager with the confidence to engage at Board level while maintaining a strong grip on delivery. You will be comfortable navigating the complexities of a large NHS acute environment and capable of stepping into Programme Director responsibilities when required.
