The role
As Programme Manager, you will take ownership of planning, coordinating and delivering a portfolio of complex projects.
You will work closely with customers, engineering, operations, supply chain, sales and senior management to ensure projects are effectively planned, appropriately resourced and delivered to the required standards, timescales and customer expectations.
Alongside project delivery, you will have the opportunity to help develop and improve project management processes, systems and ways of working across the wider Projects function.

- Identify potential risks, delays and resource conflicts and take proactive action to resolve them.
- Maintain regular communication with customers and provide clear, accurate project updates.
- Coordinate the completion, review and approval of project specifications.
- Manage changes to projects and update schedules accordingly.
- Ensure engineering requirements and customer approval processes are clearly understood and achieved.
- Produce capacity planning information to support effective resource allocation.
- Ensure project documentation and milestone meetings are completed to the required standards.
- Review existing project management processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support the standardisation of project schedules, processes and task lists.
- Assist with the implementation and development of project management systems.
- Provide guidance and support to Project Coordinators.
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

You will ideally have:
- Significant experience managing complex engineering, manufacturing, construction, infrastructure or capital projects.

- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving project delivery issues.
- Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
- The confidence to chair meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
