Project & Commercial Coordinator

Market 36 Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Project & Commercial Coordinator for our client based in Witham. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established manufacturing business.

The successful candidate will coordinate customer projects from order through to completion, liaising with customers, suppliers and production. This varied, hands-on role will suit an energetic and organised all-rounder who can take direction, use initiative and get stuck in, ensuring actions are followed through and projects keep moving.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate customer projects from receipt of order through to delivery
• Keep customers updated on progress, delivery dates and any issues
• Confirm customer requirements, specifications and outstanding approvals
• Liaise with the Production Manager to coordinate priorities and deadlines
• Set up jobs and maintain accurate project records on company systems
• Obtain supplier prices, raise purchase orders and chase deliveries
• Coordinate subcontractors, deliveries and collections where required
• Identify potential delays and resolve day-to-day queries proactively
• Maintain purchasing information and help monitor costs against jobs
• Support customer invoicing and resolve supplier invoice queries
• Provide practical administrative support to the MD and wider team

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

• Confident communicator with strong customer service and relationship-building skills
• Highly organised and accurate, with the ability to manage several live projects
• Proactive, energetic and willing to get involved across different tasks
• Able to take instruction, use initiative and follow actions through
• Commercially aware and comfortable working with orders, costs and invoices
• Calm under pressure and able to adapt when priorities change
• Confident using computer systems and learning new software
• Experience in project coordination, purchasing, sales administration or customer service; manufacturing, or construction experience would be advantageous

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm.

Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE
