Project Coordinator – Building Consultancy & Design
NMS Recruit Ltd t/a Russell Taylor Group
Bristol | Circa £40,000 + Extensive Benefits Package
Are you highly organised, commercially aware and someone who enjoys being at the centre of busy construction and property projects?
We are looking for a talented Project Coordinator to join the Bristol office of an established, multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy.
This is not simply an administrative position.
You will become an integral part of a professional team delivering Building Surveying, Design and Project Management services for a diverse and high-quality portfolio of clients, with particular strengths across the public sector, education and wider public realm.
The opportunity would particularly suit someone who enjoys the built environment but whose strengths lie in organisation, coordination, communication and making sure projects actually happen.
The Opportunity
Working alongside Building Surveyors, Project Managers, designers and other property professionals, you will help coordinate projects from initial instruction through procurement and delivery.
Your role will provide the organisational structure behind multiple live projects - keeping information moving, documentation accurate, actions progressing and clients and project teams properly informed.
Typical responsibilities will include:
Coordinating project documentation, reports, correspondence and information
Supporting the preparation of tenders, schedules and project submissions
Monitoring project actions, deadlines and key deliverables
Attending project and client meetings, preparing minutes and driving actions through to completion
Supporting budget, expenditure, invoicing and purchase order processes
Liaising with clients, consultants, contractors and other external stakeholders
Maintaining project records, shared information systems and document control
Coordinating diaries, meetings and project communications
Supporting Building Surveying, Design and Project Management teams across multiple commissions
Helping ensure projects are professionally presented, properly organised and delivered to the standards expected by clients
Who are we looking for?
There isn't one prescribed background.
You may already be a Project Coordinator, Senior Project Administrator, Project Assistant, Technical Administrator, Team Coordinator or Document Controller working within property, construction, architecture, engineering or professional consultancy.
Alternatively, you may have studied Building Surveying, Construction Management, Architecture, Property or another built-environment discipline and discovered that your strengths and interests are more closely aligned with project coordination and delivery.
What matters is that you are:
Exceptionally organised. You enjoy creating order around complex projects and competing priorities.
Confident with people. You are comfortable communicating with clients, consultants, contractors and senior colleagues.
Detail focused. Reports, documents, meeting notes and project information need to be accurate and professionally presented.
Proactive. You don't simply record an action; you take ownership of helping ensure it happens.
Interested in the built environment. You want to understand the projects you are supporting rather than simply administer them.
Why consider this opportunity?
This is an opportunity to build a genuine career within a highly regarded multidisciplinary consultancy.
You will work alongside experienced professionals and gain exposure to interesting and often complex property projects for organisations whose buildings and estates have a real impact on the communities they serve.
For someone with ambition, the role offers considerably more than traditional project administration. You will develop your understanding of Building Surveying, Design, Project Management, procurement and the wider construction process, while becoming an important member of the Bristol team.
Alongside a salary of circa £40,000, the appointment comes with an extensive benefits package, reflecting the importance on attracting, developing and retaining talented people.
We are particularly interested in people who take pride in being the person others can rely upon - someone who brings organisation, professionalism and momentum to a project.
If that sounds like you, we would be very interested in having a conversation.
