An ambitious consultancy is looking to appoint a Project Management Director to spearhead its expansion into Manchester and the wider North West. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven Project Management Director to establish a new regional presence, bring client relationships into the business and build a team around the work secured. The successful Project Management Director will play a central role in shaping the consultancy's long-term presence in Manchester.
The ideal Project Management Director will be well connected within the Manchester property market, with a strong network of developers, investors and other built environment clients. They are looking for a proven Project Management Director who can use those relationships to secure opportunities across residential, commercial, hotels, mixed-use and related property sectors.
The Project Management Director's role
The Project Management Director will take ownership of business development across Manchester and the North West, identifying opportunities and converting existing relationships into project management instructions.
As the regional pipeline develops, the Project Management Director will recruit and lead a local team, creating a strong project management offering and supporting the consultancy's wider expansion across England.
The Project Management Director will have considerable freedom to shape the Manchester strategy, including target clients, sectors, recruitment and future growth plans.
This opportunity would suit a well-established Project Management Director who wants greater ownership over business growth and enjoys combining client development with team leadership.
The Project Management Director
The successful Project Management Director will ideally have:
- A strong network across Manchester and the North West property market
- Proven experience winning project management consultancy instructions
- Director or senior-level consultancy project management experience
- Strong relationships with developers, investors and property clients
- Experience across residential, commercial, hotels, mixed-use or similar developments
- Previous experience building, managing and mentoring project teams
- A relevant construction, project management or property degree
- MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB or another recognised industry qualification
- Excellent business development and leadership skills
