Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 (OTE £62,000+)

Job Role of the Project Engineer Controls and Instrumentation

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Controls & Instrumentation Project Engineer
  • Previous experience working as a Project Engineer, Controls Engineer or Improvement Engineer within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC control systems, HMI, SCADA and instrumentation.
  • Proven experience delivering engineering projects from concept through to completion.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple departments and contractors.
  • Knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, engineering standards and contractor management.
Requirements for the Controls & Instrumentation Project Engineer
  • Experience planning, managing and delivering engineering projects to agreed timescales and budgets.
  • Ability to coordinate internal teams, contractors and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Experience producing technical documentation, reports and project updates.
  • Knowledge of risk assessments, safe systems of work and engineering compliance.
  • Experience carrying out site inspections to monitor project progress, quality and safety.
  • Ability to support procurement activities through equipment specification reviews and supplier coordination.
  • Degree qualified in Electrical, Controls or a related Engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
