Location: Bromborough & Customer Sites

Salary: £42,000 + 15% Pension + Bonus + Bens

Days Based - Monday to Friday 37.5 hours

The Company

My client is one of UK’s leading manufacturers of turnkey machinery solutions to a wide variety of fast moving manufacturing industries. They have over 100 employees on site in Bromborough. With a growing presence, the group has gone from strength to strength over the last decade to become centre of excellence within a variety of food machinery solutions to the manufacturing industry. Due to further expansion within the British market, they have the need to recruit an additional software PLC engineer.

The Role

The main role of the Project Engineer is the link between the Sales & Engineering Departments.

The company supply processing and packaging equipment in to the food and pharmaceutical industries throughout the UK and Ireland.

In recent years we have been asked to provide more of the production line, which means links and combining our equipment together from different suppliers.

The main objective for the Project Engineer is to complete projects on time, to the correct specification and to budget.

Occasional travel will be involved throughout the UK & Ireland and occasional visits to suppliers in Japan, South Korea and the US for PDI’s with Customers.

Good communication skills are essential as the role involves liaising with Sales Dept., Customers and the Engineering Department.

To succeed in the role you will need a broad range of skills are required, such as;

• CAD Conversant
• PLC Conversant
• Team leading skills
• Use initiative to drive projects
• MS Project conversant
• Prioritising projects
• Liaising with suppliers and third parties to ensure projects are delivered
• Electrically biased with sound Engineering knowledge
