Job Title - Project Engineer ( Fire & Security )

Location - Cayman Islands

Salary - Up to £65,000 (Tax Free) company car, relocation allowance

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fire & Security Project Engineer to join a leading systems integrator delivering large-scale fire alarm and electronic security projects across the Cayman Islands.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, client-focused engineer with a proven track record of leading projects from installation through to commissioning and handover. You'll take ownership of delivering high-quality fire and security solutions while managing on-site engineers, subcontractors, and client relationships to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards.

The Role

• Lead the delivery of fire alarm and integrated security projects from installation through to commissioning and final handover.
• Manage and coordinate site engineers and subcontractors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and on programme.
• Remain hands-on where required, carrying out installation, configuration, testing, commissioning and fault finding.
• Deliver projects across commercial, government, healthcare, hospitality and other mission-critical environments.
• Ensure all fire and security systems comply with manufacturer specifications, industry standards and local regulations.
• Prepare commissioning documentation, test certificates, as-built drawings and project handover documentation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and outstanding customer satisfaction.

About You

• Proven experience delivering fire alarm and electronic security projects from start to finish.
• Strong technical knowledge of fire alarm systems, access control, CCTV, intruder alarms and integrated security solutions.
• Experience leading installation teams as a Project Engineer, Lead Engineer or Site Supervisor.
• Able to manage multiple workstreams, project programmes and site activities with minimal supervision.
• Strong commissioning, fault-finding and system configuration skills.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills with a proactive, solution-focused approach.

Desirable Systems Experience

Fire Alarm

• Advanced, Notifier, Edwards, Gent, Morley, Siemens or equivalent addressable fire alarm systems.

Access Control

• Lenel, C•CURE, Gallagher, Paxton, Genetec or similar enterprise platforms.

CCTV / Video Management

• Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, Hanwha, Axis, Dahua or similar.

Intruder Detection

• Galaxy, Texecom, Honeywell or equivalent.
