The job you’ll do:
- Support Project Managers in the successful delivery of assigned contracts from initiation through to completion.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate all project-related activities, both internally and externally, to ensure the efficient execution of contracts for the supply of equipment and services.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring all contractual deliverables are completed and submitted in accordance with project requirements.
- Coordinate the procurement of goods and services required to fulfil contractual obligations.
- Monitor project expenditure, ensuring budgets are maintained and identifying opportunities for cost savings where possible.
- Define project scope, activities, sequencing, and estimated durations to develop realistic and achievable project schedules using the EPMS.
- Work closely with Procurement teams to ensure the timely sourcing and delivery of materials and services.
- Collaborate with the Quality department to develop project Inspection, Test and Quality Plans.
- Maintain clear and effective communication across all business functions to support successful project delivery.
- Monitor and manage project labour hours to ensure efficient resource utilisation.
- Control project costs, including materials, services, and labour, to ensure delivery within approved budgets.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication, reducing uncertainty and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to minimise their impact on project delivery.
About you:
- Experience working within a Mechanically focused role within Engineering/Manufacturing (Project Management preferable)
- Ideally qualified in a relevant Engineering/Project related discipline (NVQ, HNC, HND, Degree etc.)
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Well organised and self-motivated
- Able to work well both independently and within a team
- IT Literate
