Red Sky Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a leading civil engineering contractor for an experienced Project Engineer to support the delivery of airside infrastructure works at Gatwick Airport.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a major aviation project, working on live airside infrastructure schemes. We are particularly keen to speak with engineers who have previous airside experience and, ideally, experience working with PQ Concrete.
Both permanent and contract candidates will be considered, depending on experience.
The Role
As Project Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of airside civil engineering works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, to programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and managing engineering activities across live airside projects.
- Supporting the planning and delivery of civil engineering works.
- Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, designers and the client.
- Reviewing engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Managing quality assurance documentation and engineering records.
- Monitoring project progress and resolving technical issues.
- Supporting construction activities to ensure works are delivered in accordance with programme and specification.
- Promoting high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.
- Assisting with project reporting and engineering documentation.
- Supporting the wider project team to achieve successful project delivery.
About You
To be considered, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience working as a Project Engineer within civil engineering or infrastructure.
- Previous experience working in a live airside environment.
- Experience working with PQ Concrete is highly desirable.
- Strong technical and engineering knowledge.
- Experience coordinating site teams and subcontractors.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Relevant engineering qualifications.
- A full UK driving licence.
Due to the nature of this role, successful applicants must also be able to:
- Provide a continuous 5-year employment, education and address history.
- Successfully pass a Criminal Record Check (CRC).
- Satisfy all airport airside security clearance requirements.
- Provide satisfactory references covering the required screening period.
