We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Engineer to join a major marine infrastructure project involving significant reinforced concrete and marine construction works. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of a high-profile infrastructure scheme.
The Role
As Project Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical and project engineering support across the scheme, ensuring construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with the programme, drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
Project Engineer Responsibilities
- Providing day-to-day project engineering support across marine and reinforced concrete construction activities.
- Coordinating engineering activities between site teams, subcontractors, designers and the wider project team.
- Reviewing construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Ensuring construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Monitoring engineering progress and supporting the delivery of works in accordance with the programme.
- Assisting with the preparation, review and management of technical submissions, RFIs and design information.
- Producing and maintaining QA documentation, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), inspection records and technical documentation.
- Monitoring reinforcement, formwork, embedded items, levels and dimensions prior to concrete placement.
- Maintaining accurate site records, as-built information and engineering documentation.
- Assisting with technical queries, design coordination and resolution of engineering issues on site.
- Working closely with the wider engineering and construction team to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
Project Engineer Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Project Engineer on civil engineering, marine, structural or reinforced concrete projects.
- Strong technical understanding of reinforced concrete construction, including reinforcement, formwork, concrete pours and structural elements.
- Experience coordinating engineering activities and working closely with site, design and subcontractor teams.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and construction information.
- Experience producing and maintaining QA documentation, ITPs, inspection records and technical submissions.
- Good understanding of construction methodology, project delivery, quality assurance and health & safety requirements.
- Valid CSCS Card essential.
- SSSTS/SMSTS desirable.
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
