We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Engineer to join a major reinforced concrete and civil engineering project in Essex.
The Role
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the successful technical delivery of reinforced concrete structures and associated civil engineering works.
Project Engineer Responsibilities
- Supporting the Project Manager and site team in the technical delivery of reinforced concrete and civil engineering works.
- Coordinating day-to-day engineering activities across reinforced concrete structures, foundations, slabs, walls, columns and associated civil works.
- Reviewing construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation to ensure works are delivered in accordance with design requirements.
- Raising and managing RFIs, technical queries and design changes, working with the design team to resolve issues efficiently.
- Producing and maintaining Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality records, inspection documentation and handover information.
- Monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, method statements and project requirements.
- Maintaining accurate site records, as-built information, surveys, technical documentation and progress records.
- Assisting with the preparation and review of construction methodologies, temporary works requirements and technical submissions.
- Assisting with inspections, surveys and handover activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Engineer Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Engineer, Site Engineer or similar within civil engineering, reinforced concrete, structural concrete or major construction projects.
- Strong technical understanding of reinforced concrete, foundations, formwork, reinforcement and associated civil engineering works.
- Experience working with construction drawings, specifications, technical documentation and quality requirements.
- Experience producing or managing ITPs, inspection records, RFIs, as-built information and handover documentation.
- Valid CSCS Card is essential.
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
- Previous experience with large reinforced concrete structures.
