Sudlows is seeking technically skilled, motivated and enthusiastic Project (Field) Engineers to support the delivery of major data centre and critical infrastructure projects across the Asia-Pacific region.

This role is ideally suited to candidates with experience in structured cabling, fibre optics, copper installations, network infrastructure or related field services who are looking to broaden their technical skills, gain international project experience and develop their careers within a growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the planning and coordinating structured cabling installations, including Cat6/Cat6a copper and single-mode/multi-mode fibre optic systems. Support the Project Manager in delivering work packages across multiple phases — from design review and material planning to site execution and handover. Interpret design drawings, cable schedules, and rack elevations, and ensure accuracy in execution onsite. Coordinate with CAD/Design teams and provide redlines or updates as required based on site conditions or client changes. Conduct quality inspections and verified installation work against technical specifications and hyperscale standards. Prepare and maintain detailed documentation such as daily progress reports, material trackers, test results, and punch lists. Support the testing and commissioning using OTDRs, Fluke DTX/DSX certifiers, and fibre inspection tools. Liaise with subcontractors, vendors, and logistics teams to ensure the timely availability of materials and tools.. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations during on-site execution. Participate in technical meetings with internal stakeholders and client engineers to address design clarifications and on-site coordination. Assist in preparing handover documentation, including as-built drawings, labelling schedules, and certification reports.

What We're Looking For

Experience in fibre optic, copper cabling or structured cabling installations. Industry accreditation (BICSI Installer 2, Technician, RCDD, or equivalent, or willingness to obtain). Strong technical documentation and reporting skills. 3+ years working on technology infrastructure, telecommunications or data centre projects. Solid understanding of copper and fibre optic cabling systems, including MPO, LC/SC terminations, and data centre containment practices. Ability to read and interpret structured cabling design documentation and installation drawings. Detail-oriented with a commitment to installation accuracy and quality control. Proficiency with test equipment such as OTDR, Fluke DSX, and visual fault locators. Ability to work in high-paced environments with strict project deadlines. Good communication and teamwork skills. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Full passport with unrestricted travel eligibility. Data centre experience. Commissioning or testing experience. Experience supervising installation teams. Understanding of project delivery processes. Health & Safety awareness and site experience
