A permanent opportunity is available for an experienced Project Lead to join an established contractor delivering large-scale construction projects. Reporting to the Project Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and successful delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards.

The RoleThe successful Project Lead will take overall responsibility for project delivery from inception through to completion, providing strong leadership across commercial, technical and operational activities.
Key duties will include:
- Managing overall project costs, budgets and programmes.
- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and project stakeholders.
- Monitoring key milestones and proactively managing programme risks and delays.
- Reviewing construction proposals, pricing and scopes of work.
- Leading client and project coordination meetings.
- Monitoring construction costs and providing commercial insight and recommendations.
- Managing procurement activities and long-lead equipment schedules.
- Reviewing and validating subcontractor cost estimates and applications.
- Supporting design and engineering decisions relating to cost and budget.
- Reviewing and approving invoices, payment applications and retention payments.
- Managing the project handover process, including close-out documentation and final deliverables.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar senior project management role.
- Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects.
- Strong organisational, communication and time management skills.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and relevant project management systems.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage subcontractors and multidisciplinary project activities.
- Strong commercial awareness with a sound understanding of project financial management and cost control.
- Experience managing programmes, procurement and project delivery from inception through to completion.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and health and safety.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
