Responsibilities and duties of the Project Manager role
Reporting to the Project Director you will be responsible for:
- Managing projects from initial planning through to successful completion.
- Developing and maintaining project programmes, budgets and delivery schedules.
- Leading site teams and coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
- Managing NEC contract administration and supporting commercial activities.
- Monitoring project performance, quality standards and risk management.
- Building strong relationships with clients and key project stakeholders.
- Producing project reports and providing regular progress updates.
- Supporting resource planning, recruitment and team development.
- Promoting a positive health, safety and quality culture across all project activities.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Proven experience delivering construction or infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge and practical experience of NEC3 contract administration.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and budget management experience.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary site teams and subcontractors.
- Good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation within construction.
- Relevant Project Management qualification (APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent) is desirable.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to pass BPSS security clearance and Drugs & Alcohol testing.
- Right to live and work in the UK.
Salary and benefits of the Project Manager role
- Competitive Salary or Day Rate of up to £75,000 or £450 per day.
- Full-time Monday- Friday role
- Additional annual leave with length of service and Birthday leave.
