Civil Engineering Project Manager
Location: Kent (Dover / Rochester)
Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 + Excellent Benefits
Are you an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager looking to lead major infrastructure projects in a challenging operational environment?
I'm working with a leading UK civil engineering contractor that delivers complex infrastructure projects across marine, highways, utilities and major civil engineering sectors. They are looking to appoint a Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of projects within a live operational port environment in Kent.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor that empowers its Project Managers to take ownership of schemes from planning through to completion while working on technically challenging projects.


The Role
As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the safe, commercial and operational delivery of civil engineering projects, ensuring programmes, budgets and quality standards are achieved.


Key responsibilities include:
·Managing projects from pre-construction through to handover.
·Developing and maintaining project programmes, sequencing and short-term look-ahead plans.
·Leading multidisciplinary site teams and driving high performance.
·Managing client relationships and coordinating with key stakeholders.
·Procuring, managing and overseeing subcontractors.
·Coordinating design, technical approvals and engineering assurance.
·Ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 and all Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
·Managing quality assurance, commissioning and project handover.
·Monitoring commercial performance alongside the commercial team.


About You
You'll ideally have experience delivering civil engineering projects within sectors such as:
·Highways
·Marine & Ports
·Infrastructure
·Utilities
·Heavy Civil Engineering


You'll also have:
·Proven experience managing complex construction projects.
·Strong planning and programme management skills.
·Excellent stakeholder and client management abilities.
·Good commercial awareness and contract administration knowledge.
·A strong understanding of CDM Regulations and Health & Safety legislation.
·HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).


Desirable
·Marine or port project experience.
·Temporary Works knowledge.
·Lifting Operations experience.

·First Aid qualification.
