Project Manager Construction Consultancy
Brandon James
A respected independent construction consultancy is seeking a Project Manager to join its London team and deliver a varied portfolio of office, residential and logistics projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with consultancy experience to lead commissions while benefiting from direct support and oversight from experienced Partners. The successful Project Manager will work across high-quality private-sector developments, taking responsibility from the early design stages through procurement, construction and completion.
The Project Manager will act as the day-to-day lead for clients, consultants and contractors, maintaining control of programme, risk, quality and reporting. This Project Manager role would suit an ambitious professional who is comfortable leading projects independently but values access to senior support when required. As the Project Manager, you will work closely with Partners who remain actively involved in every commission.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
The Project Manager's role
The Project Manager will lead office, residential and logistics projects across pre-contract and post-contract stages. Responsibilities will include preparing project programmes, risk registers, execution plans and progress reports, alongside coordinating multidisciplinary design and consultancy teams.
The Project Manager will chair client and project meetings, manage actions, support procurement and tender processes, and monitor delivery against agreed cost, programme and quality objectives. You will also advise on consultant appointments, change control, contract administration and project close-out.
Although the Project Manager will take ownership of their commissions, each project will benefit from direct Partner involvement, providing senior guidance and a clear route for escalation where required.

The successful Project Manager will have:
- Previous project management experience within a construction consultancy.
- Experience delivering office, residential or logistics developments.
- A relevant degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- MRICS status or be close to completing the RICS chartership process.
- Experience across both pre-contract and post-contract project stages.
- Good knowledge of JCT contracts and common procurement routes.

- Flexible hybrid working arrangements.
- Direct Partner support across all projects.
- Support towards completing MRICS chartership.
- Exposure to office, residential and logistics developments.
- Pension, annual leave and professional-development support.
