An established and highly regarded construction consultancy based in London is looking for an ambitious Project Manager to join their growing team. The successful Project Manager will work across a varied portfolio of high-quality construction projects, providing professional project management services from the early stages through to completion.
The Project Manager will have exposure to major clients, experienced senior professionals and complex schemes, making this particularly suitable for a Project Manager looking to progress their career and work towards greater responsibility.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
The Project Manager's role
The Project Manager will take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects through the full project lifecycle. Working closely with clients, consultants and contractors, the Project Manager will help establish project objectives, manage programmes and budgets, monitor risk and ensure projects are delivered to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities will include preparing project documentation, coordinating design teams, attending client and site meetings, monitoring progress, managing stakeholders and supporting procurement and contract administration. The Project Manager will also assist senior team members on larger and more complex commissions while independently managing suitable projects.
The Project Manager
The successful Project Manager will ideally have:
- Previous Project Management experience within a UK construction consultancy
- A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
- Progress towards, or ambition to achieve, a relevant professional qualification such as MRICS, MAPM or MCIOB
- Experience supporting or delivering construction projects through multiple RIBA stages
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- Good knowledge of construction processes, procurement and contracts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive and commercially aware approach
