Elevation Recruitment Group are working in partnership with a leading engineering business to recruit a Project Manager to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of complex, high-value engineering projects from initial order through to installation and handover. You'll play a pivotal role in coordinating multidisciplinary teams across design, procurement, manufacturing and site installation, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
This is a highly visible, hands-on position where you'll work closely with engineering and production teams on the shopfloor as well as liaising directly with customers throughout the project lifecycle.
What you'll be doing:- Managing multiple engineering projects from order through to completion.
- Developing and maintaining project plans, programmes and delivery schedules.
- Coordinating engineering, manufacturing, procurement and installation activities.
- Driving project progress, proactively resolving issues and mitigating risks.
- Managing project budgets, forecasting and commercial performance.
- Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Supporting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), installation and commissioning activities.
- Producing regular project reports and communicating progress to customers and senior stakeholders.
- Ensuring projects are delivered in line with contractual, quality and safety requirements.
- Proven Project Management experience within engineering, manufacturing, capital equipment or bespoke machinery.
- Experience delivering complex engineering or manufacturing projects to demanding timescales.
- Strong planning and scheduling skills, ideally using Microsoft Project or similar.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness with experience managing project costs and forecasts.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to overcome challenges and keep projects moving.
- A recognised Project Management qualification (APM, APMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent).
- An engineering qualification.
- Experience within heavy engineering or industrial manufacturing.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and NEC contracts.
- Previous experience supporting installation and commissioning activities.
