The Business
We're supporting a globally recognised consultancy with an outstanding reputation for delivering some of the world's most ambitious engineering, infrastructure and built environment projects.
Alongside their client work, they're making significant investment into improving how the business operates internally. As part of a growing Business Improvement & Change team, they're looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to deliver a portfolio of strategic business initiatives that will have a lasting impact across the organisation.
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, forward-thinking business where you'll work closely with senior leaders to shape the future of the organisation.
The Opportunity
This isn't an IT Project Manager role.
We're looking for a well-rounded Project Manager with a strong background in business change, organisational improvement and transformation. Someone who can comfortably operate at both the strategic level—working with senior stakeholders to define direction—and the tactical level, ensuring projects are delivered successfully day-to-day.
You'll be responsible for leading multiple internal change initiatives, bringing together people, processes and governance to deliver meaningful business improvements.
Projects over the next 12 months include:
- Leading two major office relocation programmes impacting around 1,000 employees
- Delivering a number of ISO compliance and accreditation initiatives
- Managing a Business Analyst focused on identifying and implementing AI-enabled business improvements
- Supporting wider operational excellence and business transformation programmes
- Establishing effective governance, reporting and stakeholder engagement across multiple workstreams
The Role
As Project Manager, you'll:
- Lead multiple business improvement and transformation projects from inception through to delivery
- Build and manage project plans, budgets, timelines and resource requirements
- Work closely with senior leadership to shape project direction and priorities
- Drive project governance, reporting, risk and dependency management
- Coordinate internal teams and third-party suppliers
- Support organisational change across people, process and business operations
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and against agreed objectives
- Champion stakeholder engagement and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle
- Promote continuous improvement and contribute to evolving project delivery best practice
We're keen to speak with experienced Project Manager professionals who have successfully delivered business change within large, complex organisations.
This role will particularly suit someone with a broad project background rather than a specialist IT delivery profile. Whilst you'll work alongside technology initiatives—including overseeing a Business Analyst exploring AI solutions—your focus will be on business outcomes, operational improvement and organisational change, not software or infrastructure delivery.
You'll be equally comfortable discussing strategy with senior executives as you are rolling your sleeves up to keep projects moving.
You'll ideally bring experience delivering a mixture of:
- Business improvement and transformation programmes
- Office relocations, workplace or estate change
- Operational improvement initiatives
- Governance, policy or compliance projects
- Business systems or process improvement projects
- Organisational change across people, process and technology
- 5+ years' project management experience
- A proven track record delivering business change initiatives
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior leadership
- Experience working within structured PMO and governance environments
- PRINCE2, APM PMQ, PMP or similar qualification (desirable)
- £560 per day (PAYE rate inclusive of Holiday Pay)
- Initial 12-month contract with strong extension potential
- High-profile strategic projects with real organisational impact
- A varied portfolio of business change initiatives
- Hybrid working based from either Bath or London
- Exposure to senior decision-makers across a global organisation
- The opportunity to influence how a market-leading business evolves
