Salary and Package

Circa £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus fully expensed company vehicle, 23 days' holiday plus bank holidays, all business travel expenses covered, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Location

Burntwood, Staffordshire, with travel to sites across the UK. Applicants should be able to commute to the office as this is an internal and external role.

Full-time, Permanent Position

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager looking to take ownership of multiple specialist civil engineering and environmental projects. As a Project Manager, you will oversee the successful delivery of retaining wall, groundworks, erosion control and hydroseeding schemes from pre-construction through to completion. The Project Manager role offers a varied workload, working closely with technical, commercial and operational teams. About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing several projects simultaneously, ensuring work is delivered safely, on programme and within budget while maintaining excellent relationships with clients and site teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing multiple retaining wall, groundworks, erosion control and hydroseeding projects from award through to completion
  • Acting as the main point of contact between clients and operational site teams
  • Working closely with design, estimating, sales and operations during project planning and delivery
  • Reviewing scopes of work to ensure projects are correctly interpreted and programmed
  • Developing and monitoring project programmes and delivery schedules
  • Managing project budgets, costs and commercial performance
  • Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered to the required quality standards
  • Monitoring health and safety performance across all projects
  • Carrying out regular site visits and client meetings
  • Identifying project risks and implementing practical solutions
  • Ensuring projects are completed on time while maintaining high standards of workmanship
  • Producing regular progress reports and communicating effectively with all stakeholders

The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing civil engineering, groundworks, retaining wall, earthworks or geotechnical projects. Strong planning, communication and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple live projects at the same time. A full UK driving licence is required.
