  • Assess site risks and determine appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Coordinate investigations, surveys and remediation works.
  • Manage contractors, consultants and specialist suppliers.
  • Administer NEC4 contracts and monitor contractor performance.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and CDM requirements.
  • Review mining records and technical information to support liability assessments.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, local authorities and members of the public.
  • Participate in an emergency hazard response service when required.

Essential Experience

  • Proven Project Management experience within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, ground engineering or geotechnical engineering.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong site-based project delivery experience.
  • Experience managing contractors and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent understanding of Health & Safety and construction risk management.
  • Ability to assess site conditions and make practical operational decisions.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively throughout Scotland.

Desirable Experience

  • NEC4 contract administration.
  • Mining, quarrying or subsidence projects.
  • Ground investigation or remediation projects.
  • CDM Regulations.
  • Emergency response or incident management.

Why Apply?

  • Competitive day rate.
  • Long-term contract potential through rolling extensions.
  • Home-based role with regular site visits across Scotland.
  • Opportunity to work on technically challenging projects that protect communities and public safety.
  • Varied role combining project management, site operations and stakeholder engagement.

If you're an experienced Project Manager with a background in engineering or construction and are looking for a rewarding, site-based role where you can make a tangible impact, we'd love to hear from you.
