Are you an experienced logistics professional with a passion for driving operational improvement and delivering business-critical projects?
We are recruiting a Logistics Project Manager on behalf of a growing FMCG business that is investing in its logistics and distribution capability to support future growth, improve service levels and increase operational efficiency.
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will lead a major logistics transformation programme, taking responsibility for reviewing the current operation and developing a scalable, customer-focused logistics model for the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and redesign the existing distribution network
- Analyse customer demand, delivery patterns and route performance to identify opportunities for improvement
- Develop a future-state logistics strategy aligned with business growth objectives
- Evaluate fleet performance, utilisation and future requirements
- Conduct capacity planning across transport, warehousing and labour resources
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and technology
- Manage project plans, milestones, risks and stakeholder engagement
- Develop business cases, recommendations and implementation roadmaps
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience within logistics, transport or supply chain operations
- Experience delivering projects, transformation initiatives or continuous improvement programmes
- Strong understanding of distribution operations and network design
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience using Excel, BI tools and logistics systems
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to interpret data and translate findings into practical operational solutions
Desirable
- FMCG or multi-drop distribution experience
- Exposure to network modelling or logistics simulation tools
- Knowledge of fleet optimisation and sustainable transport solutions

Candidates seeking the upper end of the salary range should be able to demonstrate a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar logistics project, transport optimisation or supply chain improvement role, with a proven track record of delivering operational change and business improvement.
