Project Manager

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable contractor specialising in high-end residential projects, who are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-end residential construction, combined with previous experience working as a Site Manager and genuine hands-on experience on the tools.

This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and experienced construction professional who understands the build process from the ground up and can confidently manage projects, trades and site teams.

The Role

• Managing high-end residential projects from pre-construction through to completion.
• Taking responsibility for project delivery, programme and quality.
• Managing Site Managers, subcontractors and trades.
• Coordinating multiple trades and construction activities on site.
• Managing project programmes and key milestones.
• Working closely with clients, architects, designers and consultants.
• Managing subcontractors and ensuring works meet required standards.
• Carrying out regular site inspections and progress meetings.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
• Managing health and safety requirements across projects.
• Monitoring project costs and assisting with commercial management.
• Resolving construction issues and coordinating solutions on site.

About You

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within high-end residential construction.
• Previous experience working as a Site Manager.
• Genuine hands-on experience working on the tools.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and sequencing.
• Experience delivering high-quality refurbishments, extensions or new builds.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality-focused approach.
• Confident dealing with clients, architects and professional teams.
• Relevant construction qualifications and SMSTS are desirable.
