Project Manager

Our client is seeking a Project Manager to support a major rail infrastructure programme in Warrington. This permanent role will lead community engagement initiatives, strengthen relationships between the project organisation, delivery contractors and local communities, and ensure engagement activities align with wider project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive community engagement strategies that support project goals and foster positive relationships.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities with project teams, delivery contractors and wider communication functions.
- Integrate community engagement requirements into the overall project plan and monitor delivery against agreed objectives.
- Prepare and present reports covering engagement activities, outcomes, insights and recommendations.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with enabling works, community relations and stakeholder engagement.
- Monitor relevant legislation, regulatory changes and industry developments that may affect engagement activities or project delivery.
- Support public relations and maximise engagement through a range of communication channels and media.
- Build a knowledgeable, agile and collaborative team with a strong understanding of project operations.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in community engagement, stakeholder relations or communications within the rail, construction or infrastructure sector.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate and deliver multiple engagement activities.
- Understanding of public consultation, community relations and stakeholder engagement principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports and presentations.
- Awareness of legislation, regulatory requirements and risks affecting infrastructure projects and community engagement.
- Ability to build effective relationships with project teams, contractors, stakeholders and local communities.
- Strong organisational skills, commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Proactive, collaborative and adaptable approach to working in a complex project environment.
