Project Manager - NEC

We are supporting a Tier One Consultancy who are working in the maritime sector, and supporting the development and delivery of capital construction projects.

They require an experienced Project Manager to oversee two projects, one in construction phase and one coming out of detailed design into construction. Both projects are new build Warehouses. 

The position is offered on a contract basis (OUTSIDE IR35) with a rate of £400 per day. The initial contract duration is 6 months, with extension. You will be based in the office (two different locations) for four day's per week, and one day remote. 

You will be responsible for:
  • Leading the projects through delivery, managing scope, programme, budget, risk and change
  • Developing and maintaining the Project Execution Plans and project programmes
  • Leading multidisciplinary project teams and coordinating contractors, consultants and stakeholders
  • Managing NEC contracts, including early warnings and compensation events via CEMAR
  • Ensuring strong standards of health, safety, quality and project governance
  • Coordinating design, construction, utilities, traffic management and stakeholder activities
  • Providing clear reporting, dashboards and project assurance

To be successful, you'll need:
  • Proven infrastructure sector project management experience (Highways, Ports, Roads, Buildings, Rail)
  • Good knowledge of NEC contracts and CEMAR
  • Experience delivering capital projects
  • Strong risk, change and stakeholder management skills
  • APM, ICE or similar membership, or evidence of professional development
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
