We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join an established engineering and manufacturing business based in Knowsley.
Strong ERP and Excel skills are essential, ideally with experience using Syteline 10 or CSI9. A formal Project Management qualification such as APM, PMP or PRINCE2 would be beneficial, but we are keen to speak with professionals from a range of backgrounds.
You will coordinate customer projects from initial order through to completion, working closely with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance and Quality to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer projects from order through to final handover, ensuring key milestones, costs and deadlines are achieved.
- Coordinate activity across Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance and Quality.
- Support quotations, product costing, project planning and customer requirements.
- Organise and lead project meetings, including Kick Off, PDR and CDR meetings.
- Maintain accurate project information and documentation, including within the ERP system.
- Monitor project profitability and identify opportunities for cost reduction and recovery.
- Manage customer returns and complaints alongside the Quality team.
- Support new product introductions, R&D projects and engineering/NRE activity.
- Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and effective project communication.
You may come from a traditional Project Management background, or have strong engineering/manufacturing experience with responsibility for coordinating customer orders, production or technical projects.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Strong ERP/MRP and Excel skills.
- Experience within an engineering, manufacturing or technical environment.
- Excellent organisation and communication skills.
- A commercial approach with an understanding of costs and project profitability.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across different departments.
