About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join our
growing team. This role is ideal for someone who is confident, can hit the ground running and
take ownership of projects from pricing and pre-construction through to successful completion
on site.
The successful candidate will manage projects across the UK, with the majority located within
London and the Southeast. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery,
ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
The role is oƯice-based in Croydon when not attending sites and will require regular travel
throughout the UK.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage shopfitting and fit-out projects from inception through to completion.
2. Review construction and architectural drawings.
3. Prepare project pricing, estimates, and cost plans.
4. Undertake quantity surveying duties including take-oƯs, valuations, and cost control.
5. Manage project budgets and procurement schedules.
6. Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams.
7. Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings.
8. Coordinate labour, materials, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
9. Monitor project programmes and ensure deadlines are achieved.
10. Manage project variations, applications, and commercial reporting.
11. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
12. Provide regular project updates to senior management and clients.
13. Undertake any other duties as reasonably required by the business.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
1. Proven experience within the shopfitting, retail fit-out, interiors, or construction industry.
2. Previous Project Management experience delivering projects from start to completion.
3. Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
4. Experience pricing projects and managing project costs.
5. Commercial awareness and a solid understanding of quantity surveying principles.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
7. Excellent organisational and communication skills.
8. Full UK Driving Licence.
9. Willingness to travel throughout the UK as required.
10. Ability to take ownership of projects from day one with minimal supervision.
Desirable
1. Quantity Surveying qualification (HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent).
2. Experience carrying out both Project Management and Quantity Surveying functions.
3. Knowledge of retail, hospitality, and commercial fit-out sectors.
4. Relevant construction or project management qualifications.
Location Requirement
Applicants should be based within a reasonable commuting distance of Croydon, as the role
requires attendance at our oƯice when not travelling to project sites.
