Job Title: Senior Project Manager - Major Education Scheme

Location: Southampton

Salary: Up to £90,000 + Car / Car Allowance + Tier-1 Benefits Package

Are you a lead Project Manager with proven Tier-1 Main Contracting experience looking to spearhead a flagship educational build in Southampton?

We are working in partnership with a leading Tier-1 Main Contractor to secure a standalone Senior Project Manager to deliver a major new-build educational scheme.

Taking the helm from pre-construction through to final handover, you will oversee site operations, drive programme execution, and lead a multi-disciplinary site team on a high-profile local framework project.

• Full Site Ownership: Act as the #1 Project Manager on site, taking overall operational, safety, and commercial responsibility for the scheme.

• Programme & Delivery: Drive the construction master programme using Asta Powerproject, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.

• Team Leadership: Lead site managers, section leads, package QSs, and sub-contractors on-site, fostering a culture of high performance and safety.

• Client & Framework Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for local authority clients, school leadership, consultants, and framework partners.

• Tier-1 Track Record: Demonstrable experience as a lead Project Manager (#1 on site) for a recognized Tier-1 Main Contractor.

• Educational Sector Experience: Proven success delivering major education schemes, with a strong grasp of live campus logistics or complex SEND/school builds.

• Technical Skills: Expert user of Asta Powerproject, JCT Design & Build contracts, and modern construction methodologies (MMC / Net-Zero in Operation experience is a distinct advantage).

• Tickets: CSCS Black Card, SMSTS, First Aid, and a formal qualification in Construction Management or Civil Engineering (Degree / HND).

• Basic salary up to £90,000 (depending on experience).
