Lead Complex Engineering Projects from Concept to Completion

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in engineered-to-order equipment, manufacturing, heavy engineering, capital projects, or industrial systems?

Our client is a globally recognised engineering and manufacturing business seeking a commercially focused Project Manager to join their growing team in Coleshill. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of engineered equipment and system projects, managing them from order handover through to final delivery, installation, and customer acceptance.

Working within a collaborative international environment, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing multiple concurrent engineering and equipment projects from initiation to completion.
  • Developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for customers throughout project delivery.
  • Coordinating activities across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, installation, and commissioning teams.
  • Managing project risks, change orders, contractual obligations, and commercial performance.
  • Monitoring project costs, revenues, cash flow and profitability.
  • Providing regular progress reports and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes and efficiency.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:

  • A degree qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience managing engineered-to-order, equipment, manufacturing, or industrial projects.
  • Strong project planning, stakeholder management, and customer-facing skills.
  • A commercially aware mindset with experience managing budgets and project financial performance.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 or similar.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience using ERP systems and advanced Excel skills would be beneficial.
  • Experience within lifting equipment, cranes, materials handling, industrial machinery or related sectors would be advantageous.
