About Fit Out UK

Fit Out UK is a leading retail fit-out contractor delivering high-quality construction, refurbishment and maintenance projects for some of the UK’s best-known supermarket and high-street brands. Continued growth means we’re looking for an experienced Contracts Manager with strong supermarket / retail experience to join our team.

The Role

You’ll take full ownership of retail and commercial fit-out projects from initial scoping through to final handover — delivering safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with clients, commercial teams, procurement, designers and site teams, you’ll manage every stage of the project lifecycle while building and maintaining excellent client relationships on high-profile, nationwide schemes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage projects from pre-construction through to completion
• Coordinate programmes, surveys, drawings and site teams
• Monitor budgets, variations and project profitability
• Ensure full compliance with Building Regulations, CDM and Health & Safety requirements
• Lead subcontractors and internal teams to deliver successful outcomes
• Build strong client relationships and provide clear, regular progress updates
• Manage snagging, handover documentation and project close-out

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• 2-5+ years’ experience managing retail fit-out projects
• Strong commercial and project management skills
• Solid knowledge of Building Regulations and CDM
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

• Experience working in live retail environments
• Knowledge of BREEAM
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications
