Project Manager in Kingston upon Hull

Location: Hull / North 
Salary: £60,000–£65,000 per annum + car allowance + benefits

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a major nationwide retail shopfitting contractor, working on their established Sainsbury’s account.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with a shopfitting or food retail background who is looking for a long-term position with a well-established business, strong support structure and excellent opportunities for professional development.

You’ll be responsible for managing 2–3 projects at a time, working closely with the client and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, commercially and in line with the agreed business plan.

• Manage multiple shopfitting projects from inception through to completion.
• Deliver 2–3 projects concurrently, ensuring programmes, budgets and quality standards are maintained.
• Work closely with the Sainsbury’s account team and client representatives.
• Ensure projects are delivered in line with the wider business plan and client expectations.
• Coordinate with commercial, estimating, tendering and operational teams.
• Proactively identify and resolve project issues.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide clear, professional communication throughout delivery.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

We’re looking for a proactive and personable Project Manager who is comfortable working in a client-facing environment.

Ideally, you’ll have:

• Previous experience within shopfitting, retail construction or fit-out.
• Experience working with food retail clients, ideally Sainsbury’s or a similar major retailer.
• Strong project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• The ability to understand and work to a wider business plan and programme.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• A straightforward, easy-going personality and the ability to build strong working relationships.
