We’re looking for a Project Manager. Based at our Capenhurst site, the decommissioning & projects team manage a range of small to medium sized projects related to nuclear decommissioning, building, demolition, installations and refurbishment each with a budget in the range of £0.5M to £80M; the role is to provide full Project Management of a number of internal & external projects.

What you’ll do:  

  • Delivery of Projects to cost and schedule
  • Safe delivery of Projects
  • Safe and compliant management of contractor(s)
  • Project Team and WBS management responsibility
  • Demonstrate competence to act as Principal Contractor (CDM 2015)

What do you need to thrive in this role?

 

  • Recognised Project Management qualification such as PMI, APM
  • Safety qualifications such as NEBOSH Construction Certificate/General Certificate, SMSTS etc.
  • A degree in STEM discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Awareness of project management methodologies for managing successful projects and managing complex multi-disciplinary projects in regulated environments
  • Awareness of project objectives, realisation procedures and effective communication at a business decision making level
  • Experience of delivering projects over the full project lifecycle, including transitioning from design to construction
  • Site and construction safety legislation safeguards and practice (CDM, CSCS, & NEBOSH), security protocols, health and environmental legislation and good practice

Security vetting

Due to the nature of the industry that Urenco operates in, all personnel regardless of employment status working for Urenco are required to obtain security clearance at the level required for their role. Security clearances are assessed in accordance with regulations and official guidance issued by the relevant competent authorities for national security vetting. In certain circumstances, additional enhanced security clearance considerations apply to roles within Urenco owing to the particular activities that the Urenco Group undertakes in relation to uranium enrichment. Successful candidates will need to satisfy security requirements, and all offers of appointment are made subject to the successful approval of all checks initiated.
