We are looking for a Project Planner (metal fabrication) to join our successful team at our head office in York.
As a Metal Fabrication Project Planner, you’ll be responsible for the creation and delivery of manufacturing information to all areas of the production and site. Producing detailed accurate, complete, and timely bespoke data and associated information to support both the Hire and Sales businesses in the UK and Europe.
Role Details:
• Annual Salary of up to £38,000 – Depending on experience.
• Role based: New Lane, Huntington, York, YO32 9PT – You will need to live locally and be able to travel to our offices.
• Permanent
• Annual on target bonus of 2.5%
• Annual leave of 25 days per annum plus bank holidays and opportunity to buy an additional 5 days.
In this role you will be required to:
• Give written instruction and associated details to enable the manufacture of metal fabrication components and assemblies.
• Create detailed method sheets and cutting lists to manufacture metal fabricated components.
• Experience in programming CNC machines to produce metal components (RADAN experience is an advantage).
• Collate technical information from various functions and areas, liaising and communicating effectively with key stakeholders.
• Producing accurate electronic manufacturing drawings, working to production deadlines.
• Order relevant materials through the ERP system, ensuring all KPIs and deadlines are consistently met.
• Create detailed timesheets outlining activities required to complete component manufacture.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the planning function to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Organising your own workload while working on a project ensuring all your KPIs are met.
Our Ideal Candidate
• Some experience working in metal fabrication/welding within the construction or manufacturing industry.
• CNC programming experience, RADAN
• Strong ability to gather, analyse, and interpret technical information from multiple sources.
• An understanding of BS EN 1090
• Strong communication, organisational and IT skills.
• Qualification – A levels, HNC in fabrication and welding or equivalent (desirable).
• Experience in the fabrication and welding or building industry.
• Excellent practical skills and the ability to learn at pace.
• Exceptional planning and organisational skills.
• The ability to follow instructions and procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to build relationships across the business.
• Apprenticeship in metal fabrication/welding (desirable).
• CAD and/or Revit experience (desirable).
